Beth Robinson
Born of Pembrokeshire parents, Beth was brought up in Chepstow, Monmouthshire. She graduated in Music from the Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music before embarking upon a career in opera Under the name Beth Michael she has performed with Scottish Opera, English National Opera, Wexford Festival Opera, Bayreuth Festival Opera and English Touring Opera.
For many years she performed roles with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, appearng wfth the likes of Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Luciano Pavarofti and Gwynneth Jones. Having returned to Wales, she now sings mostly wfth the Welsh National Opera.
Since Beth moved to North Pembrokeshire in 1997 she discovered a talent for capturing the ever changing moods ot the Pembrokeshire countryside in paint She now lives in the foothills of the Preselis with husband Alan and a menagerie of border collies and cats.
With fellow artist Margaret Jones, Beth runs the Oriel Clan y Mor Gallery which has relocated from Trefin to the centre of Fishguard.
